Kuwait City: Thousands of people arrived at Kuwait International Airport after spending their Eid al-Fitr holidays overseas, which coincided with the end of the Eid al-Fitr holidays. The airport's operating agencies devised a strategy to deal with the arrivals rush — 38,000 passengers returned from 50 destinations in two days — and workers in the operation sectors were mobilised to ensure a smooth flow of passenger traffic, as well as to increase work efficiency and improve services provided, particularly by ground service providers to avoid delays in baggage handling. According to statistics, the number of flights that operated at the airport in the previous two days was 651, with 326 arriving and 325 departing.

Cairo, Istanbul, Dubai, Alexandria, Jeddah and Sohag topped the list as the most frequent travel destinations. Sources estimated the total number of returning travelers in two days at 38,000, especially with a number of airlines operating additional flights for travelers from Arab and European destinations. The sources indicated that the diversity witnessed by the airport buildings, contributed significantly to reducing congestion in the departure and arrival halls, with the occurrence of some emergency congestion due to the irregularity of flight schedules for some airlines in takeoff and landing, which caused congestion at specific times at some airport sites. In the field, the procedures of the operating devices at the airport contributed to facilitating the movement of passengers, as the number of employees at the gates and transit areas was doubled, and support work teams were standby to overcome any obstacles that travelers may face, and the arrival and departure procedures were shortened by the Ministry of Interior and the General Administration of Customs.
