KD 6 MILLION WAS ASIDE TO RECONSTRUCT MUBARAKIYA MARKET, WHICH WAS DAMAGED BY FIRE

Kuwait City: The Ministry of Finance has notified the Ministry of Municipality that a special budget of 6 million dinars has been set aside to restore the Mubarakiya Market, which was damaged by fire. 


In a letter to Municipality Minister Dr. Rana Al-Faris, the Finance Ministry stated that the work team formed based on Ministerial Resolution No. 34 of 2022, in its second meeting held on April 25, 2022, assigned the Municipality to adopt the initial vision submitted for the reconstruction of the burned part of the Mubarakiya market, as stated in the preliminary study conducted by the Technical Office. According to the reports, the decision to immediately reconstruct the burned portion of the Mubarakiya Market stems from the market's significance as a historical and tourist icon of the State of Kuwait.
