MEXICAN, GABONESE, AND FRENCH POULTRY ARE PROHIBITED

Kuwait City: Due to the outbreak of highly pathogenic avian influenza, the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition has recommended a ban on the import of all types of fresh, chilled or frozen, and processed poultry meat and products, including table eggs, with the exception of heat treated meat from Mexico, Gabon, and France.


The authority also announced in a news release that the Supreme Committee for Food Safety has recommended easing the prohibition on all forms of fresh, chilled or frozen, and processed poultry meat and products from Romania, the Philippines, and Portugal.
