US VICE PRESIDENT JOE BIDEN TESTS POSITIVE FOR COVID AFTER CONTRACTING "REBOUND" INFECTION

US Vice President Joe Biden has tested positive with Covid-19 once more, in what his doctor has called a "rebound" infection.

On July 21, when it was discovered that the 79-year-old was showing just minor symptoms, the virus was initially caught.

Mr. Biden stated on Saturday that despite not having any symptoms, he would isolate himself "for the safety of everyone around me."

Four times between Tuesday and Friday of last week, the president's virus testing came back negative.

President Biden won't need to begin therapy, according to a letter from Mr. Biden's doctor, Dr. Kevin O'Connor, but he will continue to be under "close surveillance."
