TRUMP DECLINES TO RESPOND TO INQUIRIES DURING NEW YORK PROBE

Donald Trump, a former US president, has declined to respond to inquiries on his family's business activities as part of a New York state probe.

In an effort to prevent the interview at the New York attorney general's office on Wednesday, Mr. Trump filed a lawsuit.

In order to obtain advantageous loans and tax benefits, state officials accuse the Trump Organization of lying to them about the worth of its properties.

Mr. Trump has termed the civil investigation a witch hunt and has denied any misconduct.
