GENERAL ADMINISTRATION OF CIVIL AVIATION TO ESTABLISH AN INTEGRATED AIR CARGO CITY IN KUWAIT

Kuwait City: A meeting was held between several officials of the General Administration of Civil Aviation and the Department of Structure Plan of the municipality regarding the airport in the northern region, sources revealed. During the meeting, the Adviser to the Civil Aviation Administration made a visual presentation on air traffic forecasts and revealed a three-phase plan.


Short term plan till 2030, medium plan till 2040 and long term plan till 2050 were presented. There is a plan to update the 'Kuwait International Airport 2020 Structure Scheme' in collaboration with Civil Aviation. As part of Civil Aviation's long-term development of the cargo sector, an integrated city for air cargo will be established in the area of ​​Kuwait International Airport, sources said, adding that the long-term plan includes the possibility of expanding a second station, T2.
