NORD STREAM BLAST 'BLEW AWAY 50 METERS OF PIPE'

  • 18/10/2022

A blast last month is thought to have destroyed at least 50 metres (164 feet) of an underwater pipeline carrying Russian gas to Germany.

The massive tear in the Nord Stream 1 pipe appears in a video shot by a Norwegian robotics company and published by the Swedish newspaper Expressen.

Police in Denmark believe "powerful explosions" blew four holes in the Nord Stream 2 pipeline and its newer twin, Nord Stream 1.

It is still unknown who or what caused the explosions, which have raised suspicions of sabotage.

Gas deliveries have been halted since the explosions on the Baltic Sea pipelines on September 26.

The Kremlin has accused Western investigators of attempting to pin the blame on Russia.
