Over 16,000 people have been detained by Saudi Arabia over the course of the last week in an effort to address problems with immigration, labor, and security violations. The Ministry of Interior made this announcement via a social media post, revealing that 16,293 people were detained by various security agencies during the last week of Ramadan. The arrests covered a variety of offenses, including 2,032 labor law violations, 8,717 cases of residency violations, and 5,544 cases of border security violations.
