Recent statistics indicate that approximately 16 percent of men in Kuwait are impotent, with the majority of these cases being associated with diabetes and obesity, according to Dr. Muhammad Al-Ghanim, the Chief of the Urology Unit at the Jaber Armed Forces Hospital. He further stated that the majority of these men suffer from poor sexual performance, which is attributed to the inflammation of peripheral nerves, which results in impotence due to the arteries' inability to pump enough blood.

In addition to the blood vessels in the sex organ leaking, he said that other things that cause impotence in guys include diabetes and low testosterone levels. He also said that premature ejaculation is one of the issues with diabetes.
