The Kuwaiti National Assembly will be revising and voting on a new law that aims to regulate the stay of foreigners in the country. The bill has been revised in order to address the issues associated with the sale of iqama (residency permits).

Under the new plan, expats will get a 5-year residence permit, while investors can get 15-year permit depending on what kind of business they do.  Additionally, fees will also be charged to ensure that Kuwait benefits from such investments. There'll be fees to make sure Kuwait gets benefits out of the investments. The plan also includes 10-year permits for Kuwaiti women's kids.
