5,500 workers arrested for residence law violation in 2023

The Quartet Joint Committee led by the Public Authority for Manpower, from the beginning of this year until last October, arrested 5,504 workers in violation of the residency and labor laws, and legal measures were taken against them to deport them from the country.


According to the Authority’s sources, there are 2,115 violating workers in the private sector under Article (18), and 1,429 domestic workers under Article (20), representing 26 percent of the total violators, in addition to 28 workers who joined a family, under Article (20, 22), and 22 government sector workers under Article (17), in addition to 1,910 without residency permits.
