Ministry of Commerce and Industry sets highest fees for domestic worker recruitment

Minister of Commerce and Industry, Mohammad Al-Aiban, has recently issued a decree that establishes the highest fees for the recruitment of domestic helpers. These fees are required to cover the cost of airfare, in accordance with the directives of Interior Minister Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled Al-Sabah. According to a report, the fee has been set at KD 750 for labor recruited from Asia and KD 575 for labor recruited from Africa.


The PAM and the Ministry of Commerce have encouraged individuals to exclusively utilize K-Net cards when engaging with labor recruitment agencies.
