Sources in the Ministry of Trade and Industry confirmed that the Ministry’s Commercial Control Department closed a store belonging to a company specializing in selling vegetables and fruits because it changed the country of origin of vegetables and fruits from products that are less popular for purchase in the local market to products that witness a high demand for purchase by consumers with the aim of raising their prices.
On the other hand, the Ministry’s Oversight Department closed 3 restaurants in the Salmiya area for committing commercial fraud by selling expired meat, chicken, and foodstuffs and placing new stickers with false expiration dates by extending their dates and using them to prepare meals that are sold to consumers.
