The Health Affairs Committee has scheduled a meeting that will include experts from the Ministry of Finance and the General Investment Authority. The purpose of this meeting is to deliberate on two significant legislative proposals. The initial proposal concerns the implementation of a law that will regulate health care services, while the second proposal aims to establish the "Dawakum" zone, which will be exclusively dedicated to pharmaceutical industries, medical equipment, and their storage facilities.
The requirement stipulates that every person living in Kuwait must have health insurance. This encompasses both citizens, whose expenses are taken care of by the government, expatriates whose employers or sponsors bear the costs, and visitors who need to obtain health insurance prior to their arrival in the country.
