A proposal has been made by Kuwait Parliamentarians to limit the weekly working hours in the private sector to 42 hours or 7 hours per day. The proposal, as reported by local Arabic media, was introduced by MPs Badr Nashmi, Faris Al-Otaibi, Abdul Hadi Al-Ajmi, Badr Sayyar, and Osama Al-Shaheen.
During the holy month of Ramadan, the proposal recommends reducing the weekly working hours to thirty-six hours. Additionally, the proposal includes a provision for a one-hour break period, which will not be considered as part of the working hours, after four hours of work.
