The Ministry of Health has recently established a new Food Handlers Examination Center at the Old Farwaniya Hospital, as part of their efforts to prioritize the safety of workers in the food processing industry and those who directly interact with the public. This initiative signifies the opening of the second center across the country that offers these essential services.
Dr. Al-Mundhir Al-Hasawi, Assistant Undersecretary for Public Health Affairs, highlighted the provision of examination services to different professional categories at the new center. This includes food handlers, beauty salon workers, employees of health institutes, dye shops, flower shops, and ornamental fish establishments. In order to practice their respective professions, these individuals must acquire a health fitness card.
