Kuwait has lifted the ban on issuing new work permits for Egyptians to work in the private sector after sixteen months, as reported by local media. The Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Acting Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef has instructed the General Administration of Residency Affairs, in collaboration with the Public Authority for Manpower and the Kuwaiti Embassy in Cairo, to start accepting requests for work permits for Egyptian nationals. As per the report in Al Jarida, applicants are required to undergo a medical test before entering the country.
