1st batch of Ethiopian domestic workers arrives within 45 days

Domestic worker affairs specialist Bassam Al-Shammari praised the decree issued regarding the approval of the memorandum of understanding regarding the employment of Ethiopian domestic workers, noting that it is a positive and good step to open the door for Ethiopian domestic workers and benefit from their expertise.

In a statement to Al-Qabas, Al-Shammari expected the first batch of Ethiopian domestic workers to begin arriving within 45 days since the Ministry of Interior began opening visas to resume their recruitment, revealing that the cost of recruiting these workers currently ranges between 550-750 dinars.
