Kuwait has firmly established itself as a major player in the global arena of remote robotic surgeries, with the Sabah Al-Ahmad Kidney and Urology Center achieving a groundbreaking medical breakthrough by successfully performing a radical prostatectomy surgery on a Kuwaiti patient suffering from a cancerous tumor.

This pioneering feat, which marked the first time such a procedure has been performed in the Middle East, was made possible through the utilization of the cutting-edge Medbot Toumai robot, which was controlled remotely from China. The team of medical professionals who carried out the operation shared their insights, highlighting the significant advancements that have been made in robotic surgeries and confirming that Kuwait is now competing with top global centers in this field.
