Kuwait Expats Face Travel Ban Without Biometrics

  • 08/01/2025

In Kuwait, expatriates who haven't undergone biometric fingerprinting will be subject to a travel ban and restricted access to government services and banking transactions. This penalty will remain in place until the fingerprinting process is completed. Notably, a significant number of individuals - 16,000 citizens and 181,718 expatriates - have yet to fulfill this requirement. To facilitate compliance, the General Department of Criminal Evidence has conveniently set up eight fingerprinting centers that operate seven days a week.
