Kuwait: A new ministerial resolution has amended the executive regulations of Kuwait’s Traffic Law, introducing a revised fine structure for speeding violations. Ministerial Resolution No. 561 of 2025, issued by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahd Al-Youssef, was published in "Kuwait Today" and officially updates Article (211) bis of the earlier Ministerial Resolution No. 1976/81.
Under the new law, the settlement amount for exceeding the speed limit is determined as follows:
70 dinars for exceeding the limit by no more than 20 kilometers.
80 dinars for exceeding by more than 20 kilometers and up to 30 kilometers.
90 dinars for exceeding by more than 30 kilometers and up to 40 kilometers.
100 dinars for exceeding by more than 40 kilometers and up to 50 kilometers.
120 dinars for exceeding by more than 50 kilometers and up to 60 kilometers.
130 dinars for exceeding by more than 60 kilometers and up to 70 kilometers.
150 dinars for exceeding by more than 70 kilometers.
The changes are part of efforts to improve road safety and ensure stricter compliance with traffic rules in Kuwait.
