Kuwait City: Acting Prime Minister Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef has issued a decision to amend certain provisions of the executive regulations of Kuwait’s Traffic Law, specifically regarding settlement amounts for speeding violations.
Published in the official gazette Kuwait Today, the decision outlines a new fine structure based on how much a driver exceeds the speed limit:
70 dinars for exceeding the speed limit by up to 20 kilometers.
80 dinars for exceeding by more than 20 km up to 30 km.
90 dinars for exceeding by more than 30 km up to 40 km.
100 dinars for exceeding by more than 40 km up to 50 km.
120 dinars for exceeding by more than 50 kilometers.
The updated penalties are part of the Ministry of Interior’s broader efforts to improve road safety and enforce stricter traffic discipline.
