The Kuwait Fire Department has issued a strong warning about the dangers of electrical overloads during the peak of summer, as temperatures continue to soar across the country. On Monday, Jahra recorded the highest temperature at a scorching 52°C, followed closely by Abdali and Matarba at 51°C. In contrast, Umm Al-Maradem Island recorded the lowest at 39°C.

The Meteorological Department has forecast extremely hot conditions for the coming days, with highs expected to reach 50°C and increased humidity along coastal areas.

In response, the Public Relations Department of the Public Fire Force urged residents to strictly follow safety guidelines when using electrical appliances. The department highlighted the risks of plugging multiple high-consumption devices into a single outlet, warning that such practices could lead to overheating, short circuits, and potentially dangerous fires.

Officials recommended using certified electrical extensions, regularly checking wires and plugs, and unplugging unused devices to reduce electrical load and ensure household safety.
