Kuwait City : As per reports, Kuwait Fire Service Directorate said that its personnel has responded promptly to calls from 63 persons who asked for help after getting stuck in ponds due to current heavy rains. In a statement, the Directorate affirmed "Those persons were safely rescued and no casualties resulted from the rains," Also added "The number of calls for help hit 130 in the recent days," Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Anas Al-Saleh visited the operations room and was briefed by Chief of the Fire Brigade Lt-Gen Khaled Al-Mekrad on how to tackle the accidents related to the rains. The statement cautioned that "The country is to continue seeing thunderstorms and moderate-to-heavy rain tomorrow, so it is advisable for everybody to remain indoors and avoid ponds," The Directorate urged those who might face trouble to dial the emergency number 112.
