MILITARY COUP IN MYANMAR: CHINA OPPOSES UN

China has publicly opposed the UN call against Myanmar. The United Nations has called on all to protest against the military coup in Myanmar. China has publicly rejected calls to wear red badges in institutions and public places to declare solidarity with democracy.The Beijing government has strongly advised that no Chinese institution should protest against the military coup in Myanmar. China, which shares a border with Myanmar, maintains close ties with the military regime.
