KUWAITCITY: MP Saad Al-Khanfour has called for direct flights to and from countriesto resume operation where a large number of Kuwaiti citizens are studying, mostof whom are in Egypt and Jordan.
He noted that Kuwaiti students are suffering from thecovid pandemic both financially and morally. Exorbitant prices for transit andhardships caused by restricted services during COVID have made their livesmiserable.
He requested the Council of Ministers to consider thepossibility of allotting a fleet of Kuwait Airways Corporation for thetransport of the people back to Kuwait to end their suffering abroad.
Meanwhile, MPs Hassan Jawhar, Talal Al-Sayer, AbdullahAl-Mudaf, and Mehalhal Al-Mudaf submitted a proposal to allow individuals whohave yet to be vaccinated against Covid-19 to travel to countries that do notban the entry of unvaccinated people. They suggested that these people mustundergo institutional quarantine upon their return to Kuwait.
