New Delhi: External Affairs Minister S Jayasankar has said that talks are underway to resolve the problems of Indian expatriates who are unable to return due to cancellations of flights from Gulf countries other than Qatar. He was responding to a petition filed by MV Shreyamskumar MP on the issue of Gulf expatriates.

There is currently no direct entry of Indians into any of the Gulf countries except Qatar. In other countries, entry is allowed only after 14 days of quarantine. The MP said it would cost more. At the same time, he said, some vaccines in India are causing problems in accreditation in the Gulf countries.
