OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT NOT YET MADE, CONFUSION CONTINUES OVER HOTEL QUARANTINE IN QATAR

Doha: Confusion continues among the public regarding the Hotel Quarantine for those returning to Qatar from home. A 10-day hotel quarantine is mandatory for those returning to Qatar after receiving the corona vaccine from their home country. But there are reports that the anti-body and RTPCR tests conducted at the hotel will release the corona negative two days later.

Many people shared their experiences on social media and elsewhere along with the discharge certificate. Various media outlets had reported on this. But the fact that it has not been officially announced is confusing to many.

Medical sources at the hotel have confirmed that those who have received the covishield vaccine at home will be released earlier if they pass a negative PCR test at the hotel. However, the exemption is given only to those who request it.

Meanwhile, there are many who complete ten days at the hotel itself. The explanation is that the decision regarding the release of hotel guests should be taken by the doctors associated with the respective hotels. If they are asked for an antibody test, they should be provided with the facility. However, the reluctance of many hotels to do so has led to delays in hotel stays.
