Kuwait City: KPTC with a loss of 29 million dinars. The Parliamentary Public Fund Protection Committee has found that serious administrative, technical and economic irregularities have led to such a situation. During the period from January 1 to June 30, 2021, the State Audit Bureau (SAB) found various irregularities, officials said.

During the last financial year, KPTC signed a $ 81 million contract with consultants. Abdullah Al Thuraiji MP, chairman of the Public Fund Protection Committee, attributed the crisis to the KPTC's mismanagement and lack of decisions to protect public funds. Al-Turaiji said that the 30,000 KD bonus given to KPTC board members in addition to the allowance for attending board meetings at an institution that suffers from day-to-day expenses was an example of administrative malpractice.
