Kuwait City: Following the announcement of a plan to prolong the school year's mid-year break from February 13 to March 5, the air transportation industry saw a significant surge in demand for tickets to various nations. According to sources, demand for tickets to Cairo, Turkey, and Dubai has risen, particularly among teachers.

According to sources, the above-mentioned action produced confusion over previous reservations, as many travellers began calling travel firms to request amendments to their reservations. According to sources, ticket costs are still acceptable, but there is severe pressure on return tickets due to the restricted number of available seats. According to sources, ticket rates are set to skyrocket on March 3, 4, and 5, when return tickets for several destinations, particularly Cairo, would cost KD 300.

According to sources, certain airlines have requested permission from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) to plan more flights in the days leading up to the start of the second semester to accommodate the projected amount of passengers returning to the nation. Sources also applauded the desire of agencies working at Kuwait International Airport to waive the PCR test and corona vaccine booster dose requirements for visitors. According to sources, the agencies will settle for requiring arriving passengers to undergo PCR testing once they arrive in the country rather than requiring them to obtain a negative PCR test result 72 hours prior to arrival, indicating the agencies will settle for requiring arriving passengers to undergo PCR testing once they arrive in the country.
