EXTENSIVE INSPECTION IN KUWAIT, 17 RESIDENCY VIOLATORS ARRESTED

Kuwait City: Widespread inspection led by a joint committee in the capital governorate. The inspection was supervised by the head of the committee, Muhammad Al Dafri. Officials of the Manpower Authority, various sections of the Ministry of Home Affairs, representatives of the Ministry of Commerce and others participated in the inspection. Shops, cafes and food trucks were inspected. Officials informed that 17 people were arrested for violating residency and employment laws.


Eight cases were registered in the private sector where they worked in non-permissible places. Eight cases where domestic workers were employed elsewhere were also reported. Two Bidunis have been arrested. Al Dafri said that workers who violate the law will be referred to Residency Affairs and necessary measures will be taken. He also clarified that everyone should follow the exact norms in the private sector
