Abu Dhabi: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has denied reports that some workers from African countries will be deported from the UAE. Saeed Al Hebsi, director of the ministry's human rights department, said the news was false.

This is just a repetition of previously proven false claims. Al Hesbi said in a statement that the UAE denied the allegations, which were repeated in a report published by Impact International for Human Rights Policies 2021.

A limited number of workers were arrested and deported as part of the legal process. Al Hebsi clarified that all workers are bound by legal employment contracts to protect their rights.

The parties concerned must comply with the terms and conditions set forth in the contracts. Cancellation of contracts with workers must be in accordance with the requirements set out in the contract. He said the UAE is committed to dealing with these issues in a transparent manner and requested the media to report official statements in this regard.
