INDIAN AMBASSADOR TO KUWAIT IS ON HIS WAY TO JAPAN

Kuwait City: According to a press release issued by the External Affairs Ministry of India on September 12, 2022, the Indian Ambassador to Kuwait, HE Sibi George, has been appointed as India's next Ambassador to Japan. He is expected to begin work on the assignment soon. 


Sibi George arrived in Kuwait from Switzerland in August 2020, when the world was in turmoil due to the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic. During his tenure in Kuwait, he was very successful in rallying the Indian community not only to fight the virus in Kuwait, but also to help contain the pandemic back home with Kuwait's help and solve the issues of the Indian Diaspora by directly interacting with the community during Open House events. He was instrumental in furthering the already excellent Kuwait-India relations by meeting with senior Kuwait government officials to elevate the Kuwait-India relationship to the highest level.
