409 RESIDENCY VIOLATORS ARRESTED IN KUWAIT IN ONE WEEK

Kuwait City: The Department of Public Security has conducted strict inspections in all governorates of the country. The inspection was carried out under the supervision of the Ministry's Assistant Undersecretary for Public Security Affairs, Major General Abdullah Al Rajeeb, who established 705 security checkpoints over the past week. The authorities were able to arrest 10 people who were included in the wanted list. 61 residence and labor law violators were arrested through fixed and mobile security patrols and checkpoints.


40 expatriates who were reported to have absconded were arrested. Officials explained that 409 people were arrested for violating the residency and employment law. Public security officers arrested 164 people for not having the required documents. In addition, 53 drug-related cases were also reported. These were referred to the Drug Control General Administration. Action was taken against a total of 2021 traffic violations while four factories where liquor was manufactured were found.
