KUWAIT'S GOLD DEMAND IS INCREASING, AND MORE PEOPLE WANT COINS

Kuwait City: According to World Gold Council data, the demand for jewellery in Kuwait increased by 8% year on year during the first nine months of 2022. According to the website "Live," the amount of jewellery in demand in Kuwait during the first nine months of 2022 was approximately 10.8 tonnes, up from 10 tonnes during the same period in 2021.


In the nine months to September 30, total demand for gold coins in Kuwait increased by 22.2 percent to 3.3 tonnes, up from 2.7 tonnes in the same period the previous year.

In the third quarter of 2022, the demand for jewellery in Kuwait increased by 37% year on year to 4 tonnes, up from 2.9 tonnes in the same period last year. In Kuwait, quarterly demand for jewellery increased by 5.26 percent from 3.8 tonnes in the second quarter of 2022.
