New variants of COVID-19: No need for concern

Kuwait City, Jan 15: Dr Abdulla Al-Sanad, representative of the Health Ministry explained that the arrival of new variants of COVID-19 is not a cause for concern. As usual, the Covid test is conducted at every location and that the number of cases will be monitored. The country's health situation regarding Covid is stable. 

So far, the number of positive samples from random sampling is less than one percent. It is reassuring that infection rates are still low despite the reported variants.The COVID-19 subvariant XBB.1.5 was discovered in October. He also added that It has spread over 38 countries, according to the latest data.
