MoI rejects renewal applications of residency permits of 5,000 expats

Kuwait City, March 27: The Ministry of Interior has rejected the online applications for renewal of residency permits of 5,000 expatriates who left Kuwait for more than six months due to illness, family circumstances and economic hardship.

For the same reason, other expatriates will also lose their iqama this month. Any expatriate who has been outside Kuwait for six months will be automatically and immediately revoked by the ministry through the Presidency Affairs Department. The period of their presence outside the country will be counted from August 1, 2022 to January 31, 2023.
