14,000 drug cases in Kuwait in 5 years

The continuous efforts of the Ministry of the Interior to crack down on drug dealers resulted in the arrest of dozens of promoters who aim to flood the country with poison.

The volume of crime cases related to narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances increased during the past year, to about 3 thousand cases, with an increase of 423 cases referred to the Public Prosecution Office in 2021. The total number of cases amounted to more than 14 thousand cases in 5 years, in the period from 2017 to 2022.
