Israel orders people in northern Gaza to leave

An estimated 1.1 million Palestinians living in northern Gaza have been urged to evacuate south by Israel, with thousands of people reported to have fled by car or foot. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has warned that the large-scale evacuation is highly dangerous and has called for humanitarian aid to be provided. 

Last weekend saw the death toll in Israel rise to over 1,300. More than two thousand people have been killed by Israeli air strikes in the Gaza Strip, according to reports from the Palestinian side.
