A long-term residency violator in Kuwait has been sentenced to one year in prison after being found guilty of breach of trust and document forgery. The expatriate, who had been living in the country illegally since 2018, was caught with fake civil IDs that had altered photos, as well as fraudulent contracts.
Security sources revealed that the individual is facing multiple charges, including fraud, deception, and forgery of official documents. He is also under investigation by Residency Affairs authorities for further legal violations and reportedly owes a Kuwaiti citizen 1,850 dinars.
The arrest is part of Kuwait's ongoing crackdown on illegal residency, identity fraud, and financial crimes, as authorities work to strengthen enforcement against such offenses.
