PAM denies reports of salary increase for domestic workers

The Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) has denied reports suggesting an increase in the salaries of domestic workers, clarifying that no such decision has been issued by the concerned authorities.

In a statement, PAM has explained that what has been circulated in certain media outlets and on social media platforms about wage revisions for domestic workers is baseless. The Authority has stressed that any changes related to wages, employment contracts, or similar labour regulations can only be introduced through official channels.

PAM has also emphasised that decisions of this nature are always announced transparently and documented by relevant government bodies. Until now, no directive regarding salary adjustments for domestic workers has been published.

The Authority has urged the public to be cautious in dealing with unverified information and avoid being misled by rumours. It has reiterated that only statements issued by official sources should be regarded as accurate.

The clarification comes amid speculation regarding possible changes in wage structures for domestic workers, a vital part of the country’s labour force. PAM’s statement confirms that any future updates concerning salaries or labour rights will be formally communicated through government announcements.
