Bahrain is streamlining its digital services by moving all electricity and water-related functions exclusively to the unified MyGov application. Starting tomorrow, October 23rd, the previous standalone "Electricity & Water Services App" will be officially discontinued. This consolidation is a joint effort by the Information & E-Government Authority (IGA) and the Electricity and Water Authority (EWA) to create a single, centralized platform for citizens and residents.
Through the MyGov app, users can access a full suite of services, including paying bills and connection fees and locating EWA service centers. The app, which has already been downloaded over 550,000 times, now offers a total of 89 different government services in one place. This move is aimed at simplifying the digital experience for users and improving efficiency.
Authorities are urging all citizens and residents to download the MyGov app to ensure uninterrupted access to these essential utilities. The services will also remain accessible via the National Portal websites. For any inquiries or assistance, the public can contact the dedicated helpline at 17515555.
