Biden Announces National Security Team

Washington : On Monday, US President Elect Joe Biden announced his picks for Secretary of State and national security team. Biden said that he plans to name Antony Blinked as secretary of state, Jake Sullivan as national security advisor and Linda Thomas-Greenfield as US ambassador to the United Nations. Also he added that he plans to appoint Alejandro Mayorkas as secretary of homeland security and Avril Haines as director of national intelligence and former Secretary of State John Kerry as special presidential envoy for climate. In a statement, Biden said that "We have no time to lose when it comes to our national security and foreign policy," He also tweeted "Under the Biden-Harris administration, American national security and foreign policy will be led by experienced professionals ready to restore principled leadership on the world stage and dignified leadership at home."
