NO CURFEW IN KUWAIT

Kuwait City: The Covid Emergency Committee meeting was convened yesterday evening. The committee has submitted its proposals before the cabinet which will meet this afternoon. Sources said that the proposal to impose curfew in the country has not been submitted again. In addition, the closing hours of restaurants and commercial complexes will not change.


Things were discussed to reduce the number of people who have to be admitted to the intensive care unit. In addition, the procedures for allowing non-Kuwaitis to enter the country from August 1 were discussed. From early August, there was talk of allowing children into the country and giving children exemptions in areas where vaccination is mandatory.

Local newspapers reported yesterday that the Kuwaiti cabinet would examine the list of high-risk countries in the new Covid context. It is reported that the Cabinet has directed the Communication Center to prepare a list of high risk countries every week in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and these matters may be discussed at the Cabinet meeting to be convened today. The Ministry of Health is monitoring the spread of the genetically modified Covid, both locally and globally. The main goal is to prevent the newly genetically modified Covid from entering the country.
