DECISION TO DEPORT EXPATRIATES ENGAGED IN ILLEGAL FISHING

Kuwait City: Authorities crack down on illegal fishing in Kuwait Bay. The decision was taken in collaboration with the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Public Authority for Agriculture, Fisheries and Environment to tighten marine patrols and inspections.



The decision was taken to deport expatriates fishing in Kuwait without a license. Sources said that legal action would be taken against the citizens if they violated the law. In Kuwait Bay, it was noticed that fish were caught on a large scale. The sources said that the measures are being taken as a precautionary measure to prevent the destruction of the marine habitat.
