Kuwait City: Mr. Siby George, Ambassador of India in Kuwait said that the decision to allow NEET examination center in Kuwait was a historic decision and it was a great achievement for the students of Kuwait to get the examination center in the context of travel restrictions. He was speaking to the media at the Indian Embassy here yesterday. For decades, the Indian community had asked for an examination center, but it was not granted. The Center in Kuwait will be of great relief to parents and students as the spread of covid has not diminished. The center is being set up in Kuwait for the first time outside India. It has now been announced that the exam will be held on September 12. The examination will be held at 201 centers in full compliance with the covid norms. The Ambassador thanked Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and the Government for allocating facilities in Kuwait for the first time in the history of NEET to facilitate Indian students in the Gulf. This year, the JEE and NATA exams were also held in Kuwait for the first time.


A number of events are planned in the coming days under the leadership of the Indian Embassy. August 20 Embassy will celebrate ICWF Day. The ambassador also said that the embassy was planning to hold a special event to express its gratitude to the people of Kuwait who helped India in its fight against Covid. "We are pleased to be able to launch various networks, including Indian Business Network, Indian Professional Network, Indian Sports Network, Cultural Network, Women's Network and Reader's Network, at the behest of the Embassy, ​​including Indian expatriates in Kuwait," said Siby George. The return of expatriates stranded in India, vaccination certificates and ICWF issues will be discussed at the next open house, the ambassador said.

A temporary air-conditioned area has been set up for visitors. The air-conditioned shuttle bus for people from the bus stop to the embassy, ​​frozen juice for all visitors, lunch packets for those in need, free legal aid, telemedicine service, and a number of assistance led by the Community Welfare Fund, including airline ticketing, has been launched. .
