Kuwait City: Member of Parliament Adnan Abdul Samad called on the Prime Minister to reconsider the high fees imposed on expatriates aged 60 and over to renew their residency. According to a new circular issued by the Public Authority for Manpower, Adnan Abdul Samad, a Member of Parliament, has called for a review of the high fees for expatriates, who have to pay 2,000 Kuwaiti dinars a year to renew their residency. Earlier, the Kuwaiti Human Rights Society had called for a review of the government's decision not to renew the iqama of 60 non-graduates.

The society opined that although the government was justifying population balance, the decision called into question the culture of Kuwait. Kuwait is a country known for its humanity. Denial of residence permits can lead to the loss of a place for thousands of people who have lost even their own country. Therefore, the Society demanded that the decision be reversed at the cost of humanity.
