The Pakistan government, Reeling under a financial crunch, puts Prime Minister Imran Khan's official residence up for rent for permanent income instead of running a university there. Cultural, fashion, educational, and other events will be allowed at the premises and committees have been formed to ensure discipline.

Pakistan's economy has shrunk by USD 19 billion in the last three years since Khan came to the power. When he became the PM he took many austerity steps to cut down the government expenses to give respite to the country's economy. In 2019, the Pakistan PM moved out of his official residence.
