ROHINGYA REFUGEES TO BE VACCINATED AGAINST COVID-19 BY BANGLADESH

The Bangladeshi government has initiated the vaccination of 65000 Rohingya refugees against the covid-19 virus. In this first phase, those above age 55 will be prioritised by the authorities.

Volunteers from Bangladesh Red Crescent Society and volunteers, 500 strong have joined the vaccination campaign to vaccinate 9,00,000 refugees in Bangladesh in association with the UN Refugee Agency.  The state has reported around 20,000 cases and 200 deaths among the refugees due to COVID-19.
