Kuwait City: The cabinet meeting decided to increase the capacity of the Kuwait airport to 10,000, a local newspaper reported. The decision to launch direct commercial flights from six countries, including India, has been linked to an increase in the airport's capacity. The DGCA has already requested the Cabinet for permission in this regard and a decision has been taken in this regard. This will enable direct access to Kuwait.

According to the Civil Aviation Administration, the capacity of all airlines is currently around 7,500 passengers per day.

As India has extended the ban on international commercial flights for another month, an air bubble service will be introduced between India and Kuwait, which will result in restrictions on the number of passengers and flights from India, which could lead to a rise in ticket prices. Kuwait and India will have the same number of their airline services. The DGCA will soon officially announce the resumption date of direct flights.
